This year’s Family Open Day promises to be even bigger and better!
Located on the 1000 acre Abbeyleix House & Farm there are many activities taking place including the legendary Gordon Bennet Run which is celebrating its 20th anniversary. Over 100 classic cars and drivers will be in attendance on the 3rd of June.

The legendary Gordon Bennett Run is celebrating its 20th anniversary at Abbeyleix House during our Annual Family Open Day. Over 100 classic cars and their drivers will be in attendance.
We hope you will join us in the many other fun and family friendly activities planned throughout the day:
- Take part in the 5K Run (or walk!) through the beautiful grounds at 11am. Pre-register here: Abbeyleix House & Farm 5K Run
- Browse the many craft stalls and enjoy live music throughout the day.
- Make a meal of it with food vendors to suit every taste.
- Entertain the little ones with magicians, face painters and train rides.
- Attend the Circus Show and let your kids explore the Sensory Play Area in the Walled Gardens.
- Observe the Air Show (weather permitting) and get a close up view of the many planes on display.
- View the Art Exhibition in the Old Church featuring the work of five artists who were invited to create art inspired by the Abbeyleix House and grounds. These special pieces will be available for purchase.
- Enjoy a relaxing Garden Tour through the Walled Gardens.
100% of the price of admission, raffle sales, and purchases of our Abbeyleix House and Farm Kitchen produce will go directly to our Charity Partners:
- Abbeyleix & District Lions Club
- My Lovely Horse Rescue
- Local girls participating in the Wheelchair Soccer World Cup
