New opportunities for local businesses in 2015

What a fantastic year it was! Our lunchtime markets saw an explosion in popularity and that was reflected in the huge number of customers who visited for the first time and for those who returned week after week to sample the wide variety of  great food and great atmosphere associated with our Village Markets. Our partnership with Dublin City Council at Merrion Square also proved very successful with office workers, tourists and families all taking advantage of the great weather during the summer.

The only negative feedback that we did receive was the length of the queues at many of the markets this year. Quite a few of our traders took on extra staff to try and cope with the increase in visitor numbers but even that wasn’t enough to keep our hungry customers satisfied.

Our aim for next year is to increase the number of stalls at each market so as to ensure all of our customers experience a 100% satisfactory experience, without the big wait.

Several of our current traders are also restaurant/cafe owners which has proven to be very successful for both themselves and Irish Village Markets alike.  In such cases the markets are not only used as a vehicle to promote their retail outlets but are used to increase their overall sales.  We would like to expand on this successful model and invite local businesses already in the catering sector to consider expanding into the DUBLIN STREET FOOD scene.  This may assist retailers who are finding it difficult to locate a suitable premises in the  right location or at the right price. With weekly markets at some of Dublin’s highest profile locations which include EastPoint, Spencer Dock, Grand Canal Dock, LUAS Stillorgan, Mespil Road, Merrion Square, Blanchardstown Corporate Park, Grand Canal (Percy Place) and Sandyford Industrial Estate, we are confident that you can reach the RIGHT target audience to build credibility, promote your products and services, and to build a new tribe of fans.

There is little doubt that next year’s lunchtime markets promise to be just as successful as 2014.  If  you have a passion for creating authentic food and can match the value on offer at our markets, then we would love to hear from you.

With over ten years’ experience of operating markets throughout Dublin city and county, we can advise you on every aspect of operating your own food stall. We are confident that not only will you operate a financially successful business but you will enjoy every aspect of it. Our weekly markets will offer you the ideal platform to try new recipes and ideas but also receive honest reviews from your customers.  The option of operating at festivals and private corporate parties will also be available to you.

We look forward to hearing from you soon.
