Progress Report!

Well!  It’s been a busy few months for Irish Village Markets, so we thought we’d write a quick note to update you on what’s been going on.  Firstly we have a new market at the Waterways Ireland Visitors Centre on Wednesdays at lunchtime, bringing our total number of lunchtime markets to  10!  If you haven’t come to visit the new market yet, we’d love to see you there.  It’s a lovely setting by the canal and if it’s sunny there’s a lovely atmosphere.  If it’s not sunny there is still a great array of really delicious food.

We also have a few new traders to tell you about.  Firstly, there is Japan Market Foods who can be found at our market along the Grand Canal at Percy Place on Fridays.  Masaki is bringing authentic Japanese lunchtime fare like Yaki Soba and Bento Boxes to the market, and we’re delighted to have him.  You can find out more about him in his trader profile here!  Also new to the markets is the Guilt Free Gourmet, which can be found at the Waterways Ireland, Blanchardstown and Grand Canal markets.  Aoife is bringing food so delicious you’d never guess that it was good for you.  From roast veg to chili prawns, there are delicious options here.

As well as all that action, we’ve had some lovely coverage in the press about the markets and our new trader handbook which you can download for free here, and as you can see, we’ve launched a new look website!  Aside from all that, it’s business as usual.  We’re very much looking forward to serving up delicious grub at the Tall Ships Festival at the end of August, and are very hopeful that the gorgeous weather we’re having in Dublin today bodes well for the rest of the Summer!
